With a new building have come new opportunities for local partnerships, varied programming, expanded collections and a new identity as a community gathering place. Comfortable seating, a cozy fireplace, accessible stacks, quiet study rooms, an engaging Children’s Library, and a place for teens to call their own–all combine to create a library that can be enjoyed by Ketchikan residents and visitors alike.
As digital information and electronic formats grow in popularity, the Ketchikan Public Library will continue to provide informational, educational, and recreational materials and services to meet the diverse interests and needs of our community. Of primary importance is to provide library services in an open and welcoming atmosphere. Library users are not just our patrons; they are our friends and neighbors.
