The Outreach Services Division of the Ketchikan Public Library provides services to Ketchikan’s senior citizens who live in their own homes or in one of the assisted living homes and to the residents of the Ketchikan Correctional Center. The Outreach Librarian maintains the large print collection at the Public Library and is the local coordinator for the Alaska State Talking Books Program.
What is the Outreach Program and is it for you?
The Ketchikan Public Library offers free delivery of materials to residents who are unable to get to the library due to age, illness, disability or other incapacitating circumstance.
We will come to you!
Rebecca Fama, our Outreach Librarian will visit you at your home, where she can work to create a custom selection of materials specifically tailored to your personal interests.
We do our best to offer the same access to information that you would have if you were visiting the library.
How do I register for this service?
